Everyday questions
Do I need an account?
No account is needed. Access and pricing are shown in the App Store. Customers who paid to download iCaelum unlock automatically; Apple Accounts that acquired it while free may see the one-time Full Access purchase and Restore Purchases.
Where is Sky finder?
In 2.5, open Sun and Moon → Sky finder, Sky trackers → Sky finder, or its blue section in Stargazing. It can also be selected from the shared feature catalogue.
Why are there objects I cannot see?
Markers show calculated positions. Daylight, clouds, glare, terrain, buildings and light pollution affect visibility; Uranus and Neptune usually need optical aid. A marker does not identify a visible point of light for you.
What is the difference between a layer and Find?
A layer displays that object type. Find selects a specific target, enables its layer and shows its bearing, height and guidance. Other enabled layers stay visible.
Why is Align unavailable?
Select an object at least 5° above the horizon, with true north and working camera tracking. Centre the recognised real object, hold the phone steady and wait for Align to become enabled. Read the Sky finder guide for compass and calibration limits.
Does alignment stay after I leave Sky finder?
The correction belongs to that visit. Find, settings and the guide keep tracking running; locking or switching apps pauses it. Check alignment when you return. Leaving Sky finder starts a new visit without the old correction. Reset alignment restores compass north.
Can I make more than one My view?
There is one personal view, with up to eight selected features. You can name it, arrange it and pin it to Today. Each of the ten activity profiles separately supports its own layout and up to eight extra sections.
Why is Your activities empty?
It contains shortcuts you added using Keep on Today in an activity or My view. Until you pin a view, the section has no shortcuts to display.
Does Reset view erase everything?
No. It restores the layout of that view. On an activity it removes additions and restores original sections and order; for My view it clears the feature selection and restores the default name. It does not reset locations, units, purchases or reminders.
Why is a forecast value missing?
Sources differ in region, forecast range and available measurements. A planning date can be outside that range. The app keeps missing data distinct from a zero; read the source and coverage notes.
Can I choose another city and keep its local time?
Yes. Change the planning place by search, map pin or coordinates. Planning times follow that place’s clock. Live camera and compass tools still use the physical device.
How do I get help?
Each view has an information button explaining its controls, symbols, calculations and sources. The website’s feature reference links the same explanations by area. Use Contact & support for a question or a reproducible bug report.
